Watched online, poor print, divided into 7 pieces.

7 songs in the Soundtracks, again 6 of them Music and Lyrics by Michael Berz and sometimes co-credits. Song performers do not include MF, although she mimes singing more than once.

Unfortunately, MF plays the sweet young Queen, who wants a child. With a little help from an elf, she has a daughter. But the court does not have enough gold plates to invite all the fairies to the celebratory banquet. So the jilted one curses the infant (to die after she pricks her finger on a spindle). Jane Wiedlin of the GoGos plays the White Fairy who lessens the curse to sleep after the prick; she did sing at the party. To make the long sleep of the princess bearable, the royal couple ask the White Fairy to put the whole castle/kingdom to sleep until Rosebud's prince kisses her awake. The film uses stop-motion ivy vines invading everywhere to show passage of time, I suppose.

Yes, princess Rosebud, TW (b. '61), is actually the daughter of Raquel Welch (b. '40).

Definitely skippable. Unless perhaps you're 8 yo with a princess fetish, and can locate a decent copy.
