R | 1h 39min | Drama , Music , Mystery | 14 March 1986
Eugene is an extraordinary talent in classic guitar, but he dreams of being a famous Blues guitarist. So he investigates to find a storied lost song. He asks the legendary Blues musician Willie Brown to help him, but Willie demands to free him from the old-people's prison first and to really learn the blues on the way to its origin: Mississippi Delta. Eugene doesn't know yet about Willie's deal with the devil, that he now wants to revoke.
Director: Walter Hill
Stars: Ralph Macchio, Joe Seneca, Jami Gertz.

Watched online, good print.

13 songs in the Soundtracks. Looks like Ry Cooder was playing blues guitar for RM, and Bill Kanengiser played classical guitar for him.

RM (b. '61) is playing 17 here. His big hit: The Karate Kid ('84). His 2010 photo looks much different, but still good. Weird that it took his face so long to mature.

This film is legit. Good music, interesting story, characters worth my time.

Beware of the IMDb link to Amazon Prime video; I've notified them it's the wrong film (of the same name); really awful first minutes.
