I certainly wouldn't support a law to ban dancing or music, but I didn't really get to care about these characters.
Are we supposed to believe the preacher's daughter was wild because she's suppressed? Does that justify standing astride 2 speeding vehicles with a 16-wheel truck coming dead on? Would that truck really assume one of the smaller vehicles would make way? (I didn't see/hear any indication it braked, and it had no room to swerve and remain on the road.) Later she gets into a fight with her boyfriend where she throws the first punch. I don't like her.
I don't care about the music in the film, nor the dancing.
It's not a bad film. I just don't care about/for it. I've never been attracted to it, and wouldn't have watched it if it weren't tagged Music.
