borrowed disc.

6 songs in the Soundtracks, all Music by Elton John, Lyrics by Tim Rice, with one more music writer on 1 song.

I liked this quite a bit, but part of that enjoyment is what I brought to it: this is Bob and Bing in the 16th century, younger and without the vaudeville shtick, but the story and character outlines are absolutely in keeping with the 7 Road pictures of '40-'62. I suspect if a featurette had Spielberg talking, he'd mention that. After all, Prince of Egypt ('98) came from The Ten Commandments ('56), per a comment by SS in a featurette on that disc.

Next viewing: does the love song that made me knit my brows come when the blond "god" is falling "in love with" the city?
