Ocean's Eleven (2001), 6 {nm} & Ocean's Twelve (2004), 6 {nm}

PG-13 | 1h 56min | Crime, Thriller | 7 December 2001
Danny Ocean and his eleven accomplices plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously.
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Stars: George Clooney, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts.

I like a good heist caper, especially with no casualties. I'd seen Ocean's 11 (1960), 6 (which had tag Music), and this shares the Vegas casino robbery idea, with a lead character named Danny Ocean and 10 compatriots. Not sure that it shared much else, although I kept expecting one of the 11 to die and the ending similar to the prior film. Neither of those happened.

I was confused by the ending (where's the loot?), and had quibbles about the SWAT involvement (did AG's guy really call 911, and how did the 11 get out before they arrived?) Listening to the c.track with director SS & the writer revealed another plot gap which I won't document here.

This film is ok.

PG-13 | 2h 5min | Crime, Thriller | 10 December 2004
Daniel Ocean recruits one more team member so he can pull off three major European heists in this sequel to Ocean's 11.
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Stars: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts.

this was on the flip side of Ocean's 11.

This was written as a double/triple/more blind, not revealing what was really going on until later. So I didn't bother to accumulate plot confusions.

I'm quibbling with the synopsis writer; Danny Ocean did not recruit his wife (or any 12th member that I recall); it was MD.

This is ok, but less so with the convoluted plot. The next sequel has a slightly higher rating, but I think I'll skip it.
