A Diva's Christmas Carol (2000), 6-

PG | 2h | Comedy, Musical, Fantasy | TV Movie 13 Dec 2000
A remake of the Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol" featuring a very nasty pop singer who gets a reality check by three Christmas spirits.
Writer/Director: Richard Schenkman
Stars: Vanessa Williams, Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas, John Taylor.
Dayle King ... choreographer

Watched online, mediocre print; sound went deeply out of sync midway.

No songs in the Soundtracks, but VW performed a few, some with other cast members.

Meh remake of the story. Nice to see a female lead for a change, but it just made me wonder why we don't have a masculine word for b!tch. I did like that her name was Ebony Scrooge, and her dead singing partner was Marli Jacob.

The transformation was extreme, where she decides to buy dozens of very expensive concert tickets and offer flights to the concert as well, plus flying Timmy and mom to NYC to visit a specialist, with fancy hotel on her too. Was Ebenezer this extravagant?
