Watched online, ok print.

Apparently this was an Xmas release; shoulda been Halloween.

4 segments, with only 1 overlap in characters other than the bellhop who is the thread tying them together.

Pay attention to the following, and try to guess which one Tarantino wrote/directed.

Why Halloween?

  1. segment The Missing Ingredient involves a coven of witches trying to break the spell on a colleague who's cast in stone.
  2. segment The Wrong Man involves a husband who accuses the bellhop of being his wife's lover (with her encouragement), and has her tied to a chair, gagged most of the time, and a large handgun pointed at the bellhop.
  3. segment The Misbehavers involves 2 children left alone in their hotel room to cause trouble, only to find a corpse left by a previous tenant.
  4. segment The Man from Hollywood has a man recreating a bet he saw in an episode of Alfred Hitchcock presents, whether a cigarette lighter ignites in 10 consecutive tries. The ante: ownership of a rare car versus a finger to be severed.

TR does a good job as the bellhop living his worst ever night at work.

I wish 3 of the segments were less ghastly.

Watched because Madonna was here. I knew she'd have a small part, but it was very very small. Not so small you could miss her, but she was about 1/8th or less of the 1st segment, and that was all of it.
