8 songs in the Soundtracks, although I know 6 of the titles, and can't imagine either of the others is the merengue music.
Decided to buy some SM titles, focusing on his writing, and this came as a 2nd title with another.
I found this perfectly charming. I shouldn't, because SM is a low-ranking gangster in witness protection awaiting trials where he'll testify. But he has a joie de vivre that's infectious to RM & to us, or at least me. The IMDb rating is only 6.2 with 16k+ votes.
One of the highlights is SM taking RM out to a nightclub & teaching him to pick up women and how to dance. And SM looks good dancing. Later when RM is dating JC, he teaches her what he learned. So we get 2 extended merengue dance sequences.
Good fun for me today.
