Bandwagon (1996), 5-

1h 43min | Comedy , Music | January 1996
Tony gets fired from his job. He's not really sad about this because he prefers writing songs and playing the guitar. He meets the drummer Charlie and they decide to start a band.
Writer/Director: John Schultz
Stars: Kevin Corrigan, Steve Parlavecchio, Lee Holmes.

Watched online; print blurry & distorted (flipped & zoomed in). Only 2 parts, and midway through 2nd part the film ends and starts over.

No songs listed in the Soundtracks; it felt like the same song was used over and over.

Rated 7.1 by 565 IMDb users; I do NOT understand what's good about this. It's yet another rock band wannabe encountering the tough road to success, and the film ends when they get offered a record contract, so we don't see the whole road.

The actors had no charisma, the story had no interesting twists, and the music was dull and bland. So what's not to love?

This is another film that IMDb says was at the Sundance Film Festival. This is at least the second such film that makes me wonder what the criteria for acceptance at Film Festivals is/was.

Just noticed this was tagged Comedy. I had no inkling that comedy was a goal here.
