Very difficult to enjoy this film. The song Angel in Disguise appeared frequently, and that was already hammered into my head by Carl Stalling, who used it in at least 14 Warner cartoons. This is its film premiere.

Much more of a gangster film than a musical. We get some dancing, primarily near the end in the new-nightclub scene. Ann Sheridan can sing, with a deep voice somewhat like Alice Faye. Only 6 of her 17 music/musicals lay ahead. (She started as a bit player.)

The title likely refers to the character who likes to make up stories about people she knows.
