Watched online, ok print when it finally worked (midnight).
23 songs in the Soundtracks, some only sampled.
Yes, choreographer MR is son of Mickey, who had a very brief cameo.
As usual in the few Muppet films I've watched, some character at some point(s) in the film acknowledges this is a movie, and this is why they do something.
The human male lead gives facial expressions like he's hosting a bad kiddie show. Is it not possible to appeal to children without acting as though you're a cartoon? AA acts as though this is make believe, which is not quite so condescending as the mugging done by the guy.
The story is ok, and they do montages or "travel by map" to speed things up (and announce that's why), but it still manages to drag when they're prepping for the telethon. Maybe that part is interesting to people who want to see every character do their thing.
Shrug.
