Watched online; good print, horrible internet speed.

The fairy tale writing credit goes to Charles Perrault, who also wrote Cinderella.

Despite the slow, slow internet speed, I found this tolerable. The songs aren't so sappy, and the battle for Aurora is pure cinema set to Tchaikovsky's SB music.

But I really don't care about the story, so this will not be on any wishlist of mine.

Note: RKO formerly was Disney's distributor. Per Wikipedia, General Tire (RKO's final owner) shut down production at RKO for good at the end of January 1957. The Hollywood and Culver City facilities were sold later that year for $6.15 million to Desilu Productions.

3.Dec2020 update: watched on dvd, after watching Snow White and Cinderella. This has quite a bit more going on. The witch Maleficent and the 3 good witches (Flora, Fauna & Merriweather) occupy most of the show.
