Clipfest celebrating MG's 8 TV specials:
- Mitzi (1968)
- Mitzi's 2nd Special (1969)
- Mitzi... The First Time (1973)
- Mitzi... A Tribute to the American Housewife (1974)
- Mitzi and a Hundred Guys (1975)
- Mitzi... Roarin' in the 20's (1976)
- Mitzi... Zings Into Spring (1977)
- Mitzi... What's Hot, What's Not (1978)
32 songs in the Soundtracks (I know, I put them there).
Streaming this is not the way to go. Although the special is 57min, the extra features expand that a lot (~79min), and this is the public TV edition with even more (~21min):
- Mitzi and Mackie, 18min
- Mitzi Remembers the Beatles, 4min
- Mitzi & Friends Salute Sondheim's Company, 6min
- Mitzi's Late Show Movie Parody, 13min
- Mitzi as "The Kid" - New School, 4min
- Mitzi as "The Kid" - The Recital, 5min
- 8 extended musical performances:
- Pretty ('68), 3min
- Let Go ('69), 5min
- Limehouse Blues ('73), 3min
- You Are the Sunshine of My Life ('74), 3min
- Most Beautiful Guy ('75), 5min
- New Orleans Hop Scop Blues ('76), 3min
- Yankee Doodle Dandy ('77), 3min
- Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight ('78), 4min
- Public TV Exclusives:
- Everybody Loves My Baby ('68), 3min
- Love is Blue ('68), 3min
- The Charleston ('76), 9min
- Camptown Races/Waiting on the Robert E. Lee ('78), 6min
I'd be curious to see the full specials, but it took 10 years for the price of this doc'y to come down to what I wanted to pay (used), and it wasn't dirt cheap ($8).
The visual quality of the old shows is not great, but lots of, indeed, Razzle Dazzle. Probably only for appreciators of MG.
