Changes to the Cinderella premise: gender reversal, Beverly Hills setting in modern ('60) times, ball thrown BY the stepmother, Fella has money from his father and he might have known its location all along.

It's typical JL, and the only near-cute part is when he mimes the Count Basie tune,
