This is a children's tale, originally from the Brothers Grimm (per onscreen credits). Mildly amusing: TT & PS as the thieves.
Wanted to see this because it's JM's one other musical. She doesn't dance (unless she partners RT at the very end as the bride on the wedding cake).
The best part of the film is RT's long dance/acrobatic sequence. Here is an edited "remix" version, with non-film music. Although it's not exactly what appears in the film, and is likely shorter, it gives a good flavor of the dancing.
Glad I rented instead of buying.
