Borrowed Special Edition dvd.

12 songs in the Soundtracks, 6 Music by Elton John, Lyrics by Tim Rice.

Good story; kept my attention.

Although the voices I listed above (except MB) were all recognizable, it didn't detract.

Pleasantly surprised that this had more songs than the overly famous Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata and Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

If you watch this edition again, disc 2 has an annoying lack of explanation how to watch it. Just ignore the continents and Play Journey on each of the bottom line of categories.

On the extra features for Stravinsky: Oedipus Rex (1993), 8, it's director and production designer Julie Taymor mentioned the stage version of The Lion King. I hadn't grasped that she was the sculptor who made the masks in both productions, and was a creative force in both.
