Highlander (1986), 6 {nm}

R | 1h 56min | Action , Adventure , Fantasy | 7 March 1986
An immortal Scottish swordsman must confront the last of his immortal opponent, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize".
Director: Russell Mulcahy
Stars: Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, Clancy Brown.

11th of 67+ film credits for CL; Greystoke ('84) was his 7th.

Bought because Queen wrote and performed 7 of the 8 songs in the Soundtracks. (The 8th is New York, New York, which they perform.)

I've seen this before, and my Netflix rating was 6. My reason for buying this was disappointed because the songs were not played in full, and actually distracted from the story (or were too on-the-nose at the moment played). Maybe if more of them had been utilized without lyrics, as was Who Wants to Live Forever, that aspect would have been more satisfying.

Superhero fantasy is not my thing, so the epic battle of these titans was not too interesting to me. In the c.track (director & 2 producers), they claimed their attraction to the story was the romantic complications for an immortal, but that's not how the screen time is allocated. And the spectacle of the battles is so visually imposing, that's really what you remember.

SC (b. '30) was very attractive in a jaunty role (note the actual peacock feathers making his cape).

The director focused in on CL's eyes so often I wanted to turn it into a drinking game.
