27 songs in the Soundtracks.

Bio of fictitious singer/songwriter active in 50s-70s.

Shrug-worthy. I didn't connect with the characters or their situations. BTW, she didn't sacrifice her singing career; she couldn't get it off the ground b/c girl singers were out of fashion when she was trying to launch.

JT was her manager, ES her songwriting partner/husband, MD another songwriter/producer she married but he drowned himself. We finally see her create an album of her own that goes platinum. The End.

If you're interested in these times, I suppose it could be fun trying to correlate pieces of the story to real celebrities. For instance, MD seemed like Brian Wilson. IMDb trivia says another character was based on Leslie Gore. Whatever.
