27 songs in the Soundtracks.

Although it has some of the usual teen stuff, it's mostly about the hard work and anxiety of training just to get accepted to the school/company.

They found excellent dancers who also act with credibility; I didn't strain to see if those actors did all their own dancing at all times, but the 3 listed as the stars above seemed to.

(I'm assuming) they created an original, non-traditional ballet for the film. It's story was ok; the dancing, especially by the men, was great.

This confirms my suspicion that I'm fine with ballet dancing, just not with a long traditional work.
