A widow and her children arrive at the mysterious island where her late husband had secretly purchased property.
Director: Michael M. Robin
Stars: Linda Hamilton, Kyle Secor, Jesse James.
Watched online, poor blurry print.
No songs in the Soundtracks; not a Musical.
Many months ago I inquired about genres for TV episodes, especially for episodes of anthology series, specifically citing Disney and others. I got an education about genre keywords to be used on episodes; genres for episodes are blocked.
So, while WWD has many episodes that are musical, unfortunately all episodes inherit all the genres ascribed to the series: Action | Adventure | Comedy | Drama | Family | Fantasy | Musical. This episode ain't Musical, but it is Drama, Family, Fantasy.
I didn't fall asleep, but I don't get the point of this show. A 42yo father dies, having liquidated all pensions and other assets to purchase land on the titular Maine island where he was born & raised. Except his wife thinks he was born in Boston, and knows nothing of this island.
Eventually we learn that the dead father had "powers" to heal animals when he was a child, and when he tried to heal his sick mother, it failed. So he left the island to take on a new identity and leave the past behind.
I don't remember if they revealed why he went back to the island and bought the land that his aunt claimed was for the new cemetery.
KS plays a wealthy land owner on the island who's supposedly the devil, complete with tail wagging in his pants.
Not only is the print blurry, but the plot is too.
