Watched online, very poor print, blurry.

9 songs in the Soundtracks, no performers identified. I don't remember any performances, although the female "lead" is supposed to be a pop singer. She has lines, mostly "I'm getting a new manager."

I'm going to classify this as a non-musical, despite the music tag.

With Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone both in '84, I suspect they "inspired" this knock-off, although I don't remember if either had natives bowing to the woman who looked like their idol.

Adventure is generally not my cup of tea, and bad adventure is definitely not. Garnish with no star power, and the combination is really dreadful.

To add to the pain, we get the pop singer's manager narrating the tale as though he's dictating a book to a prospective model/actress. When he's done with the tale, the houseboy returns to announce the manager's wife is home, and apparently he's going to get in trouble for having a lovely to the house. The punch line is that the wife is that pop singer who'd said she was going to get a new manager. <big eyeroll>

Avoid.
