1h 10min | Action, Comedy, Music | 1 April 1954 | b/w
Director: Charles Lamont
Stars: Judy Canova, Don 'Red' Barry, George Cleveland.
Watched online, mediocre print.
3 songs in the Soundtracks, no performer info, but JC participates in 1 and sings the others.
I was leaning toward dumping this from the Music/als list, until she sang again at the end.
The plot & cast isn't that much worse than a M&L or A&C film, but M is handsome+golden-throated, and A is endearing (at times), while JC is mostly just annoying. She is competent by accident; things she does with good intentions end up successful despite her execution of them. So it's an anti-feminist message: this woman might mean well, but only does good by accident.
