Watched online, ok print.

24 songs in the Soundtracks, all Music by Galt MacDermot, Lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado. Most famous: Aquarius, Hair, Good Morning Starshine, Flesh Failures (Let the Sunshine In).

Those 4 famous songs are very nice. The film is ok. Lots of dancing around in Central Park. A scene of the 5 hippies (TW +4) and JS disrupting a party at BD's home, TW dancing on the banquet table. When JS finally goes off to serve, the principals go off to his base in Nevada. TW switches places with JS so he can go picnic with BD and the others. But during that time JS's unit is shipped out, with TW instead of JS. The group later visits TW's tombstone with his own name in a military cemetary.

Among the extra singers (beyond the 6 principals) were Nell Carter and Melba Moore.

The play ran 4/1968 - 7/1972.
