If only the plot really had YD as one of the buccaneers, as the poster suggest. She plays a feisty character, who actually knocks out another woman with a closed-fist punch, but I don't recall her in the poster's pose/situation. She was not an appealing character. The title is also misleading, since YD does not become the buccaneer's girl until the end, although she is fascinated by him, and pursues him.

Then again, I don't remember her dancing here, and the Soundtracks says she did on 2 of the 3 songs she sang. It also lists 2 other songs, 1 which was very brief. So 4.1 songs performed, and you have a musical. And they are all performed, as in not integrated at all. YD plays a performer. I suppose that 10th of a song was integrated, since it was a vendor sing-touting her wares.

The plot was Robin Hoodish, with the pirate (PF) stealing from a particular person's ships, and using the loot to fund other's misfortunes (was that it, or did he make loans to the guy he robbed?) Said pirate was handsome and civilized, and able to keep his men in check. He has 36 film credits, but this is the 2nd one I've rated.

Norman Lloyd was here, as was JC Flippen, but nothing really interesting was going on that I caught. Then again, not many pirate films have my endorsement (and you can't include the G.Kelly film, since no pirate activity takes place there.)
