I find this difficult to follow: who was the Meatloaf character, why did he come to the venue, and why did TC kill him? Just to demonstrate that TC is, in fact, dangerous?
This has a lot of ratings: 117,648 with an average of 7.8. This is the 8th highest number of votes among my music/als watched through '75. (Without the date restriction, 2 films from 2017 get added, which is unfair, since they were in wide release during IMDb's existence, while RHPS has "only" a cult following.) Since RHPS is still shown in theatres, perhaps this should be considered low.
It's entirely possible that I missed something interesting because I was not watching well enough. That's the problem with home viewing: you can multitask.

The dvd menu has a lot of extra animation to it, which is time-consuming and irritating.
I listened to the c.track with the hunchback/play's author and his onscreen helper Magenta, but learned little except that this was a stage musical before being a film. But their comments are more reactive ("and he's dead now") than historical. They did even mention the title of the play ("Picture" would seem inappropriate.)
I skipped the participation extras.
This is saved from being a 5 by a single song, The Time Warp. That tune is catchy and fun.
