Out of sequence by accident; didn't know it was a musical.
The title has nothing to do with Jack Benny's theme song (although it was published in '34.) The fact that the female juvenile lead, Dixie Lee, was the wife of Bing Crosby (mother of his 1st 4 sons) is a total coincidence. She sings reasonably well (apparently recorded 2 songs with Bing; found both songs on YouTube: A Fine Romance and The Way You Look Tonight), and plays her hard-bitten character well.
The juvenile lead has a sweet tenor voice, plays a songwriter. Only worked in films for 2 years. Apparently continued to work as a singer in clubs. Died at age 67. Dixie Lee, an alcoholic, died of ovarian cancer at age 40. This was her penultimate film.
Burns & Allen don't sing/dance, except for a semi-cooch dance by her at the beginning of the film. Since they work as carnies, they should have wedged a soft shoe into the script.
Cute story, nice singing.
