Decent story: stepsister Anastasia steals the magic wand from Fairy Godmother, and allows her mother to whip up some spells, turning back time and making the prince think Anastasia is the girl of the glass slipper. But she's not so cold-hearted as her mother. She really wants to be loved for herself, and does not seek power/status.
Cinderella is more proactive here too. She remembers dancing with prince, and fights for her true love.
