If only Lillian Roth hadn't performed music, I wouldn't have had to watch this. It's very unpleasant, fairly intense, and I don't
care for SH's talents. EA doesn't appear until very late in the film.

We get to watch from her first drink through 2 marriages, one seriously abusive, and her utter degradation. She finally turns to AA, where she meets EA; he becomes her sponsor, and eventually her romantic interest, which is where we exit.
