This is one of those streaming situations, where something is recommended, and you follow the link. This was mostly shrug-worthy.

Each episode is about 55 min.

Watched online (link is to the video):
Episode 1: Birth of a Titan, 6
I suppose the Titan is the studio. Highlights King Kong ('33), Merian C. Cooper, special effects.

Ep2: Let's Face the Music and Dance, 7
Exclusively covering Fred & Ginger, and cast/crew, all '33-'39. Great clips.

Ep3. A Woman's Lot, 6
Ginger Rogers, Katharine Hepburn.

Ep4. It's All True, only 8 minutes online? Didn't watch. Full episode likely discusses Orson Welles, and his unfinished documentary in Brazil.

Ep5. Dark Victory, 7
Poorly named episode covering the persecution (and prosecution) of alleged Communists in Hollywood. (Dark Victory ('39, Warner) is a Bette Davis film about a woman coping with a fatal brain tumor diagnosis.)

Ep6. Howard's Way, 5
They promised a lurid view of Howard Hughes' tenure at RKO, and delivered.

One of these episodes (either 3 or 5) touted the RKO films of Val Lewton. Even though they're about Cat People and Zombies, supposedly intellectual stuff.

BBC, RKO; 6, but varies by episode.
